So you paid 450.00$
Posted by: ohcarol ()

So you paid 450.00$ for a ticket. If you take someone, you laid out around 900.00$. You do dinner, drinks buy a tee shirt and your spending over a grand. Well worth if you have the bucks. My question is,just what is it that all you people do for a living that you can spend that kind of bread for a night out? lol

It's because it's the States. When the Stones come to Europe, prices are ALWAYS cheaper. I saw them in Marseilles and then both shows in Dublin at the Point. The shows were far cheaper than what I shelled out at Halloween in LA at Staples. However the prices were about on par with what I paid in Phoenix, Arizona which was 250 dollars US. Then again, I am not talking about the club shows à la Olympia or London. That is another league altogher surely ladies and gentlemen.... wouldn't you agree?????

Sincerely,

Charles Baudelaire
1821-1867 and then reborn and dead again for good in 1869

Look at it this way. You are paying 20 dollars a song for one ticket. If you look at it that way its not to bad.

As they say in Ohio, "It's all releative". Some cats justify blowing $5.00 for a pack of smokes and smoke 2 packs a day. That's hundreds a month.

I look at their ticket price as in you are paying for the brand name and what it stands for. When it comes down to it, it's the songs.

If $450 or $75 is too much, feel free to go see some sexually confused band like Linkin Park.

$450 in Toronto
70 euros in Milan
50 greenbacks at the Aragon
250 at the Tower

It all evens out.

Besides, my dog isn't going to spend my money.

450 USD is to much money I agree. But it would not be charged if people wouldn't buy it. I do not say that people on this board, but I have to admit that I paid some 350 tickets, because I was not aware that you might get the same row also for 99. Being in Europe and trying to get tickets is anyway a nightmare

I hope that FOS-stadium-tickets will cost 150 € tops next year in Europe.

I had a $115 nosebleed seat in Toronto
and could hear and see great with their
new video screen and sound system, better
than I sometimes have on the floor in
the past. See my review. There are
still some relative bargains out
there...................

You won't get it for $450 as you have to pay ticketmaster and convenience fees which makes around $32.80. If you buy it with fanclub fees add another $100. So
it's $582.

I ALWAYS hear stories from friends who buy tickets from Scalpers outside for way below face price after 8pm...Outside the PNC Park show was flooded with scalpers dumping $420 tickets for $50. It's a gamble...but they like it.

Yes I shelled out $450.00 to see the Stones and it was well worth it. I was in the first row at the b stage-can't get closer than that. Family and friends thought I was crazy to pay $450.00 for one ticket while they blow money like crazy. But I don't smoke. I don't drink. I don't do drugs. I have only one addiction-The Rolling Stones. And it's a pretty cheap one if you think about it. The Stones come around every two or three years and yes I spend $450.00 for one ticket. I know people who spend that kind of money in just one month going to the bars. So let's quit complaing sit back and enjoy the show cause it could be the last, you never know.

"Outside the PNC Park show was flooded with scalpers dumping $420 tickets for $50. It's a gamble...but they like it."

Chances are the scalpers paid even less than $50 for those tickets from the original buyer. Your average street scalper, at least around here, will not wait in line to spend hundreds on tickets to try to move at a profit. They buy them in parking lot, way below face and mark them up to whatever they can for them.

$450.00 a ticket is an obscene price. But I paid it to see them opening night at Fenway........was it worth it? I had one hell of a time....so maybe it was. My only beef about the tour is the price of tickets. I don't mind the setlist, the sound system is great, onstage is great, meeting the other fans are great.....but the price of the tickets is just silly.

i agree with you about the obscene price...but there is some relativity going on here....someone buys a diamond ring for thousands upon thousands...someone spends a week in hawaii for thousands, someone spends $100 on dinner, etc....guess it depends on your income and your priorities

evrybody who's buying the waaaay overprized tickets is making rock something for the rich. don't think rock started like that and certainly should not end like that cause that's what will happen: rock shows for the rich and famous, not for us ordinairy fans who have every single release at their homes. next tour 1000 bucks for a ticket? c'mon...

I've got the money, the Stones are my idols, and I still won't pay $450. I didn't think twice about paying $175 per ticket, however, so ...

When they played Winterland in '72 the tickets were $5 plus a 50 cents service charge, and people were indignant about the latter! Can you believe it?

For the Cow Palace, SF shows in '75 I'm pretty sure the price was $17.50 per ticket.

Hey, if they tour again in a couple of years, I won't be surprised if I do go for reserved floor seats.
