Could there be future resissues?

Alright guys, some of you might think I'm crazy but I don't own ANY of the 1994 Virgin reissues. The CD's I have that the Virgin years cover are all on the CBS label and even then, I'm missing some. I'm thinking it's about time I upgrade. But, if there are any other future plans for reissues of these albums then I want to hold off. Anyone know anything?

After seeing what's happened with Hendrix, Beatles. etc., I think we'll see reissues until the day we die.

I must say, if you care about the quality of the remaster, the Virgins beat the Sonys HANDS DOWN. A lot of progress in making more lifelike, warmer, more detailed sound on CDs took place between the 80s & the mid '90s, & Bob Ludwig did a good job. Plus you get the longer "Wanna Hold You"(extra verse), the significantly longer (6:34 - really a highlight on TY) 'Slave'...an alternate 'Sex Drive' on "Flashpoint"(strange, as Ludwig mastered the '91 original), 1 or 2 other longer tracks elsewhere...It doesnt look like they'll be upgrading the major '71 - 91 albums soon (except Sucking & Made In the Shade a few months back) - the Canadian box uses the '90s masters, so it may be some time.

I can actually see some CD's being reissued in the new dual disc format, one side CD and the other side DVD commentary. I bought Back In Black (again) recently in this format and I see that some new releases are being issued this way in addition to releasing the regular way. I bought the new Sheryl Crow CD last week for $9.99 and they also had the dual disc version for $15.99 at FutureShop in Canada.

I'm not much into these commentary things - they vary in quality, I rarely want to play it a second time...Now, an "Anthology" or "Bootleg Series" type project (they need more than one box set!) plus dvd of concert/rehearsal footage (a la the new Band box), yes...The Stones don't seem much into bonus tracks, so BBC, live archival, studio outtakes, etc - I hope it all comes out officially in MY lifetime...

They put out 9 CDs with cardboard inserts featuring the stars and stripes tongue this year but nothing new.

If they were to reissue the logical thing to do would be SACD or DVD-A versions.

What's the quality of those?

i just got Tattoo You with that new country-specific sleeve, to replace my old CBS version.
it sure seems to be the same 90s remaster that John R is talking about above -
ie, a lot better than the CBS version.

I didn't realize Virgin remastered "Undercover". Are any of the songs longer with it?
