Well, Ed quit before the crash - lucky guy?

Sad news about Ed King. I watched the showtime documentary a couple of times now and it is excellent. Ed is in it quite a bit telling his story. He quit mid tour because he got tired of Ronnie Van Zants abuse.

Also co-wrote (uncredited/ripped off) and played that cool fuzz tone on Strawberry Alarm Clock's "Incense and Peppermint".

Underrated guitar player.

Often just added the little fills and flourishes between the Rossington & Collins fireworks... but they were sublime .

Underrated. Wrote one of the best riffs livks and solos ever.
