its very possible also that since it was Calais where he got on the truck and that there is a lot of that going on there, that he was merely another refugee trying to get somewhere and it just happened to be a stones equipment truck.

Yeah, but I think sneaking in to a Stones show via stowaway in a truck is a much better story!
