She Saw Me Coming reminds me of the Offspring

Not quite sure why, but everytime I hear SSMC I think of the Offspring. Especially their song "Self Esteem." I like SSMC and the Offspring, so this is a good thing. Anybody else hearing this?

SSMC is such a lame song.... they just repeat the same line over and over and over...

"It's just that demon life has got me in it's sway..."

Im a big offspring fan and Self Esteem is a great song. But I don't think that SSMC is about being used for sex or emotional support and getting nothing in return. Awesome songs though!!

There actually are other lyrics in the song other than she saw me coming. They're pretty clever, too.

i don't understand how any Stones fan could not LOVE SSMC - it's their best song (many I know personally share this opinion too) in 2 decades. Easily. Thank gawd it was soundchecked tonite - sounds like it's about to make an official entrance into the set.....

Great song. It is the opposite of Micks standard phrasing. Usually he just ryhmes everything and this is a pleasant change. The other lyrics in the song are great too.

StonesTod... Why would they have soundchecked this but not played it tonight? Hopefully at the next gig?

it's not unusual for them to soundchecked a song a time or two before introducing it to the setlist. the fact that they soundchecked it definitely suggests a future setlist inclusion...especially since one figures they're bound to do a new ABB song or two at some point. i've been hoping they'd get around to doing this one in particular, of course.

It's probably in my bottom 5 of the album, but I still think it's a good song.

I can see the resemblance to The Offspring. Dexter Holland often does a kind of psuedo-shouting that appears in the repeatition of "SHE SAW ME COMING!"

SSMC is garbage.

She Saw Me Coming, She Saw Me Coming, She Saw Me Coming

sort of like...

Sending Out An SOS, Sending Out An SOS, Sending Out An SOS

or

8675309......8675309.....8675309

Anyone can write these lyrics and Mick sounds like a parrot.

Expected better than this from the Stones.

Worst song on the album.

Its the most interesting song they've recorded since some girls - like it more than start me up.

Second worst song (worst is "Infamy", of course). Maybe the lyrics were written by Luann Brambaugh when Keith was dozing away in Mick's house in France?

i donĀ“t think its one of the most memorable or one of the best songs on ABB, though i still like it. it reminds me very much of the sound of Emotional Rescue (album)!

This is my least favorite song on the album. Always skip it.

This is the only song on the new album which I really don't like. I really tried to let it grow on me.
