But it still p?&%$§s me off that tix for Germany are always much more expensive than all other countries in Europe.

German taxes… plus bands trying to rip off Germany

I know, you're so right.

Much more expensive? Are you sure? Do you have examples?
Except the 799 No Filter Pit - last year the ticket range was pretty much all the same in every country give or take. In Poland now you pay around 160 Euro for the Golden area - which is kind of like the silver pit in Hamburg. You get pretty close if you want but not up front. And in Hamburg I payed 149 and I got pretty close. Plus the GA was gated off behind me. :-)
Also GA was 99 in 2017 almost all places and LD was 50. And now in Stuttgart it is even below 80 Euro! So, I disagree.

check it out by yourself:
Hamburg in 2017: [iorr.org]
Paris in 2017: [iorr.org]

where Paris had fosse d'or (golden circle standing) for 122,50 Euros the shows in Germany had Sitzplatz Innenraum (reserved seating on the pitch) for 499 Euros.
Silver pit standing in Hamburg was 149 Euros, Fosse (GA) in Paris 89,50 Euros

and – last but not least – Hamburg was a huge ourdoor venue while the Paris shows were in a middle sized indoor venue (a rugby stadium with a closed roof)

Ok. What's the point? Stuttgart and France are both below 80 Euro. Thats no rip off. I just don't see the point whining about the ticket prices. It drags me down.

wait an see where the cheap seats are (my guess is: last five or ten rows way back behind under the roof…)

I hope London is truly being sold by Ticketmaster cos I despise AEG.

Is it AEG that have the queue and waiting room system?

If so then I agree it's awful.

.

Many theories were presented but never the significance of NO FILTER

Maybe in the end that is the point...
it only means andrefers to ROLLING STONES NO FILTER TOUR.

It's a reference to sharing photos on Instagram without applying a filter

i.e. they were appearing in their raw and unedited state.
Thanks

Interesting... I guess I missed them saying that officially.

They never said anything about Instagram nor does it have anything to do with Instagram. it does simply mean unfiltered, raw and unedited yes, but the phrase and concept did not begin with Instagram, rather it is used with respect to photography generally and has been for many decades, something that did exist before Instagram.

The four screens behind the band look alot like cellphone screens

How is Edinburgh / Murrayfield?
Is that a good audience for a Saturday night show with lots of enthusiastic people?

The last gig at Murrayfield Edinburgh in 1999 was considered by many to be one of the best atmospheric gigs of that tour. Main reason there was no over inflated pit tickets - so real fans who got to the front areas where the more enthusiastic type than those who get transported into the pit and have probably seen every show and are waiting to be entertained ,rather than make the band want to entertain them - If you are looking for enthusiastic crowds then Celtic crowds will be the best [Ireland and Scotland ] for atmosphere as long as you are not in the pit.
Thanks. I have been considering Edinburgh this time. And I was thinking of Scottish people being animated and partying at least on a weekend. It is boring going to a consert and people sitting down without spirit....spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

You won't be disappointed Edinburgh on A Saturday Is Party Night .Head for the Grassmarket after the concert - Drink till Dawn

Well, finally here I am smiling smiley Thanks a lot to Bjornulf for helping me to log in. I have been reading this forum for so long, that I feel familiar with many of you long time members here.

Thanks a a zillion for bf's work and all the the priceless info here on this site.

I am a long time fan like all of you here, my first Stones concerts at the age of 14 in Detroit June 1978, and I was hooked. Have been to way to few live concerts since, but managed to get to see them twice last year in Munich and Barcelona, and planning for Dublin, Stuttgart and Marseille this coming summer.
Appreciate all your knowledge on all the how to's and would be happy to get to meet during this tour.

Fond memories of when they released the initial map of the site and the Gold and Diamond standing areas were right at the back a mile away from the stage

Agree with everyone here regaining those sites that have the stupid waiting rooms. That's why I always book with Ticketmaster if possible, I don't see a link for the Amex presage on there yet though. Apparently that is happening on Wednesday morning for the London shows.

Sorry if this has been discussed earlier, but what does "subject to license" mean?

The Promoter in Dublin still needs an approval from the City Council - [www.Independent.ie] .

For London, TM shows only VIP packages as available on "partner site" (AXS is my guess). No such verbiage for regular tix. I'm hopeful to avoid the dreaded waiting room nightmare.

10 days to erect and 3-4 days to take down the stage - that's just incorrect, ''10 days of disruption''. What a joke.

I saw that Croke Park has a * and "pending license" or something, but don't know that Irish people don't want Stones after all these years yawning smiley

Perhaps someone should give these residents a screening of the Altamont DVD to ease any concerns they might have about the concert.

Depends on what kind of seat you want. You can always get a ticket, but maybe not the one you really want.

I just looked at that picture of the Croke Park locals and thought, how sad - they are all acting like old fogeys when the band that's asking to play may be made up largely of their "elders"! LOL Where's their spirit, sense of adventure, sense of rock n roll!? They've lost it along the line somewhere.
