'72; two stops; RFK Stadium in Washington D.C. on July 4th, then later that month (I'd turned 21 on the 12th, the anniversary of their first ever gig) I saw them again at the Tour Closer (Mick's Birthday Cake and the Stevie Wonder Wonderlove encorse)... that would be the favorite I ever saw.
I've seen them only a few other times in different decades.
I'm really very sorry to have missed '69 and I was right there, living on 30th Street; it would not have been inpossible; I'd just had too many distractions at the time, and I've always regretted it and regret it still; but am grateful for Liver Than You'll Ever Be vinyl which I still have; and of course yA-yA'S and a LOT of cool various '69 footage...
in a non Stones sense, I've always been sorry not to have seen The Kinks Live because they were one of my foundational favories of all times.
