I love all the footage before the show. The people milling around; and you know 75% of them have no real function - groupies of another sort. Then the 'real' groupie eventually shows; ugh, what a scary lady of the night haha..
Ron Wood is still with Krissy. When Ron and Keith enter the arena you can see Keith completely taking over, and strolling with some authority.
This is what all the guys doing 70's era movies and TV should be looking at. Everyone smoked; and not everyone walked around looking like they belonged to the Village People.
Interesting that I think it is the only time I recall seeing Keith play the red Gibson on "Midnight Rambler". Keith is still playing a lot of lead.
I was positive that Ronnie played "Negrita" on the silver Zemaitis, but he is still on his Strat. They don't switch guitars all that often. It looks like Keith and Ron switch together; when one changes, the other one does too.
Never knew that Jagger sat to play piano during Ron's big solo in YCAGWYW. I thought that was one of Ronnie's best solos in that song. I really like how he develops it, very patiently.
The whole show seems almost a bit subdued. Jagger doesn't take his shirt off until the very end.
Thanks for the info . It has been a while since I heard Paris 76 and ditto for Love You Live album .Quote

I don't think so. The LYL solo is an edit of a longer solo anyway. But through that tour, Ronnie always had a few check points in his solo that he would stop in for. He would start in mid range, working off the main melody; then he slowly worked his way up, in register and intensity to where he would hit that flutter picking. Those parts all varied, but he always ended up there. And then he always switched it into the (IMO) best part, which is that swampy, convoluted riffing he did on the lower strings; sort of percussive. By then Mick would start piping up, and reign it back in. It's those common denominators, that are the easiest way to compare the solos. I know ChrisM. has laid it out, which exact show the LYl solo is from. I bet Mathijs would know.

The You Cant Always Get What You Want solo was overdubbed in the studio for Love You Live.

I wouldn't bet my right hand on it. Freddy Hausser the French Tv director who the "Aux abattoirs" vid said the backstage area was swarming with drug dealers, all of them eager to give/sell some stuff to Keith which they all considered as the nec plus ultra client of the junkie universe.
That is what I always thought as well . Can you tell me what was the work that Mick and Ronnie did in the studio ? Was it just cleaning up some tracks ? I remember an article in Rolling Stone that said that Mick and Ronnie were in the studio doing some type of work ?Quote

Nope. It was edited down from the June 7 show. The entire song and solo are available in excellent soundboard.
