In my initial comment on page 1, I mentioned how people in their 20s and 30s eventually become their parents.

The comments made by aging rock fans in this thread is proof of that.

Imagine in 1967 a forum on ragtime music and a thread with the title "What Is With Hippies?" -- the comments would be identical.

Just substitute "long hair" with "bushy beards" and you're all set.

The comments on hipsters being filthy -- that, too, was once attributed to hippie culture.
