Jesse was just on Jonesy's Jukebox, promoting tonight's show - did an in-studio performance of 100 Years Ago, and Steve is playing Winter as I type this. It's for a good cause - a special wheelchair for their merch girl who has cancer. D-Generation was a great band - they were the next big thing for a minute.

I wonder why anybody should want to perform the Stones´ most boring album ever.
It´s a mystery to me.

Because you have an aversion to great songs and great albums.

No one has ever performed their worst album - and never will. There is zero reason for anyone to perform their worst album.

For any Los Angeles IORR's...

Jesse Malin is playing at The Roxy on January 26th.
Lots of special guests and a performance of GOATS HEAD SOUP!

Sounds cool! Let me know if anyone goes.

Jesse Malin at The Roxy Performing Goats Head Soup

That logo... the lightning bolt and the... whatever kind of cat that is - The Cult had one that is similar on their 2013 tour.

Calling GHS a "great album" is just the same as calling DW "their worst album ever". Simply wrong.

Really? I bought it on the day of release and have always rather liked it. Still do, even after over 40 years (which is more than I can say for a lot of seventies music). Never really got into Dirty Work, but one of my mates thinks it's one of Jagger's best.

Simpleton, you are simply wrong - and GHS is a great album. Not in the sense of STICKY FINGERS or EXILE ON MAIN STREET or TATTOO YOU or LET IT BLEED or BEGGARS BANQUET or BLUE & LONESOME. But it is a great album.

Fact: DIRTY WORK is their worst album and their worst album ever.

Your dislike of DW is in some way amazing... What do you think, is there any album by any band of great renown (e.g. Who, Zeppelin, Doors, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Kinks etc.) worse than DW?

Would you say GHS is better or more enjoyable than IORR or Black And Blue?
What´s great about GHS´s boring ballads and (mostly) mediocre uptempo tracks?

Why does EVERY thread become a Dirty Work thread to you? PLEASE start an "Album Talk - Dirty Work" thread and go to town in there!

My dislike of DW is not amazing, it's practical: it's the worst Rolling Stones album ever released and one of the worst albums in the history of rock, if not then at least the most embarrassing album.

None of the bands that you mentioned have anything as bad as DIRTY WORK.

Yes. GHS has better songs on it than IORR and BAB.

There aren't any "boring ballads and (mostly) mediocre uptempo tracks".

GOATS HEAD SOUP is a stellar album - it's the sound of a band that's been on fire for a long time starting to chill out.
