OT: VPN - worth it?

Have been reading about using a VPN for assorted things. How hard is it to set one up? Is there a particular app or program to use regarding setting it up? Is it worth setting one up? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

If you want to explore the WW internet anonymous yes........I use SoftEther Client Manager (not free and not that expensive) but keep in mind if you logged in to your google account your not anonymous..........

It's really easy, meaning even I could do it, and totally worth it. I used it to watch live streams in other countries of a band that was on tour, but there's so many things you can use it for. Being anonymous wasn't an issue for me, I have to confess. I wish I could remember the name of the one I used, I deleted the app when the tour was over and I no longer needed it.
