Great piece in 11/22/63 when him singing Honkey Tonk lets the cat out the bag.

"The Stand" is one of the best books I've ever read, and his collaboration with Peter Straub, "The Talisman" is also one of my favorites.

Stay away for the movies for both The Stand and It though... It's time you'll never get back.

Green Mile and Shawshank Redemption (short story) are great and the best movie adaptations of his work.

Salem's Lot would be my fave followed by The Shining. If you have read and enjoyed "The Shining", the sequel "Dr. Sleep" is worth reading as well. Currently I'm reading "Revival".

You're right about Dr Sleep, the first King I've read and enjoyed in a while, now going to start on the JFK book. Like a lot of others, everything up to the 90s is pretty good, IT is my favorite, one that can be truly scary if read late at night.

I don't think I have ever read one of his books.
