Perhaps in the Stu years?
Sure wished they would (B-stage)... even with Chuck on the keys!!

No and No. It's Not Easy was done a few years ago (studio) by Charlie Sexton (Arc Angels, former Dylan axeman)....it included Ronnie as a guest. Cool version.

Keith teased us before the Licks tour indicating that he was trying to get the band to play Flight 505. Alas, it never materialized and probably never will....

I don't get it,why The Stones don't have enough respect for some of their best albums like Aftermath and Between the Buttons. The only two Aftermath songs that get played are Paint it black and Under my thumb. What's with Lady Jane,Flight 505,Stupid Girl etc

And Between the Buttons is almost totally ignored.

Now don't tell me that Some Girls, the songs of which gets played regularly is a better album than those two.

They don't go beyond 68. There are alot of great tunes prior to that. Hitch hike/mercy mercy, cry to me.

Good mornin Australia! A new sparkling bright, sunny (huh?) day
for ya, Rockman, right? Nice to see ya.

stones_serb, hi to you too. I´ve also wondered ´bout that respect for the
older material - me being a very heart-beating, warm fan of the 60´s stuff
... But maybe the respect sometimes is best shown by not
playing everything. For example Heart of Gold or Some Things Just Stick...
is wonderful wonderful songs... But I doubt they can get back to that wavelength again, that Edith Grove-, Dartford-, helpful mummy (Keith), harsh dad (Mick),
look thru the window and see to not the bike gets stolen (Stu), pissin from
the second floor (Phelge), that innocent ("~") 'buggin-Herberts'-sentiment
they used to have... Or... ?

YEAH mornin' Baboon....7.40am lil' hazy at the moment but will be a fine day.

I follow what your saying about Stones stepping back in time to that wave length ... It's like returning to where you spent your childhood ya often wonder if it really happened all those years ago...AND the Stones have more water under the bridge than you and I combined...Dont Look Back

I am pretty sure that some mid sixties songs would work great live.Flight 505 can certainly be one of them.Just imagine Mick singing it now with his voice which became a bit rougher with years. After all it's only a simple boogie tune,I am sure they'd do it right. Now songs like Lady Jane might be a tougher nut to crack but such great musicians like The Stones and the rest of the crew can certainly pull it off if they want to.

Also why isn't The Last time played more often?Isn't it one of the greatest hits of The Stones?

Lady Jane-type of songs (of which I consider at least She´s A Rainbow,
Dandelion, New Faces) rarely works for Mick since the 70´s or so.
Angie is the only exception... No, I dont mean ballads; I believe much in
SOL as a live number... And Angie hasnt faded yet.

But the very song Flight 505 would work, I even think oool´
Chuckie may get it work. BTW in my humble opinion its one of the best
tracks the Stones ever recorded.

I´d really like them to find the 60´s beat again.... A parade example here is
I Want To Be Loved, as played on the original recording sessions.

Yeah the rockers like Flight 505 would definitely work great and some faster songs of Buttons.Wish they tried Complicated or Amanda Jones.

Anyway they are neglecting their older stuff a way too much, including Beggar's which is considered to be a part of their great four.Couldn't they replace You got me rocking and It's only rock and roll with Stray cat blues and Jigsaw puzzle.

And dig out Play with fire. The SW tour version is excellent
