what a thrill...the tour is running..now the good times are coming.
To all our american Stones fellows out there I want to say..enjoy the shows.

Just a note...by watching the rehearsal pages, I realized that the Stones did a full run of a 18 song setlist on August 08th which was almost identical to the Fenway setlist.
Just wonder if they knew it by then, that this would be the final list for opening night, or if they did made the final decision just a couple of days before showtime.

According to Chuck's diary, he and Mick had been finalizing the setlist for quite a while.

I can't imagine - tho it is pretty much what they did until '89 - the set will remain static throughout the tour. The idea of a rotating setlist for 3 different sized venues in the same area is gone, but I think rehearsed catalog material, alternate cover songs, new ABB material, will be intro'd, maybe at a more incremental pace.

I don't think that setlist is going to be static,I am almost certain that it'll go through various changes until they reach Europe.

No two shows will have an identical set list in the identical order if they do what the did for the 1997-2003 shows. They will always find some slight way to alter it.
