Michael Putland's Pleased to Meet You
More photo click here! (other years included)Michael Putland traveled with the Rolling Stones for many years 1972-1986 (maybe more) and was friends with the band. Michael Putland had behind the scenes access where he captured many intamte photos as wells as group photos and portraits. Michael Putland was asked by the Stones to be their official tour photographer prior to their 1972 tour. He captured a collection of very captivating, intense images of the band in performance and backstage. Michael's archive documents in breathtaking detail the Seventies, which many consider to be the most interesting decade in the band's history, and beyond, resulting in a photographic history second to none. The book includes images of Mick Taylor as part of the line-up and the arrival of Ronnie Wood. Images of Keith after his Toronto drug bust, backstage at the Palladium with the McCartneys, Peter Tosh and Bob Marley and much much more. These peerless Stones photographs are accompanied by a lively and insightful text from Michael Putland. many of these images have rarely been seen or published. This is the best book on the Stones I have ever read. The photography of the Stones on tour is amazing and them with Paul and Linda Macartney is great. The Rolling Stones were one of the biggest rock bands in the world and still are. No true Stones fan should be without this book. I would definitely recommend buying this book!
