With all the strife in the world I noted in the news today Denmark has launched a navy ship towards Hans Island in defiance of Canadian territorial claims, or to be fair, Danish territorial claims, .

I'm sure they will discover the WMD (Walrus of Mass Dimentions).From all descriptions on the news this is a rock...but a special rock....it has oil (did I say that out loud, may be a third claim now).

All this time Austin Powers had us Canucks woried about the Dutch so we got caught like a deer in the headlights on this attack. Winner will be the first to score ten direct paint ball hits to the others ship. Dane's ....please be patient, our choppers and subs have not worked since we bought them used and our air force is out of water ballons, we need time to rebuild. How about a Guinuess drinking competion...something we both excell at.

This will not effect any planned tour dates for Hans Island, we are not barbarians.

Greenland is Greenland and Denmark is Denmark.
Canada is Canada and Inuit Inuit.
But the posting made me crack a smile.

All joking aside, it sounds a bit trivial, yet if warming trends around the world continue, that could be a very important Arctic passage route for shipping. Out on the West Coast of Canada, we've had a colder than usual spring/summer yet it seems the majority of North America has been under a huge heat wave for quiet a while.

Yeah it's been a record hot summer
with extreme heat, storm, and smog alerts
seems most every day, here in Toronto Canada.

Looks like a new front on the war against terror. Canada versus Denmark. I think we should do what the Americans did when France wouldn't support their Iraqi escapades. They changed the name of their French Fries to 'Freedom Fries'. I say we in Canada need to do the same. No more should we eat those things we call 'Danish' cakes. Let's still eat them but let's call them 'Freedom Cakes' instead.

On a more serious note, I do believe that several of our newer destroyers have seen extended tours of duty in the Middle East the past few years. Don't want to get too political here, but I'd like to give a huge shout out to all the Canadian (and Allied) soldiers in Afghanistan/Persian Gulf.

They aren't going there to kill anyone. They just sail to Hans Island and plant a Danish flag. Being Danish I say: Give the damn island to Canada as a random act of goodwill. Who really cares? Nobody lives there.

past our Rolling Stone Rehearsals stake out last
night -a rare site. Asked him about it and he says
only does it on weekends, a bit in the summer.
Was friendly, dedicated, also helps him pay
for university. I respect that, but like I said,

going on in the world today, I truly hope we in
