[ But I would pray to almighty God that he didn't do something weeinie like this.I don't know if he could help it though. Because he is cheesy..

I thought it was a decent cute catchy pop song. That's his forte, cute catchy pop songs. He's damn good at writing them and plenty capable of rocking out too. When you see him perform you get a good mash up of a lot of styles, some cute and trivial and some hard and driving, it's just what he does. Like the Stones, I'm grateful we still have him around and playing shows. peace

Macca in concert always seems like Pat Boone singing little Richard songs. He is not a rocker and when he tries to be one its really hard to look at.
I have never understood why anyone would care if a artist engages as audience or not..I know people who went to a Dylan concert and they complained big time that he never spoke to the audience..I find that silly..
But with Macca for 40 bucks sure I would go. But I would pray to almighty God that he didn't do something weeinie like this.I don't know if he could help it though. Because he is cheesy..

But in the video I posted it was more about his stage presence. Very cringe worthy..

The tea making gesture fit the song. Besides unless you're gonna pull a Jerry Lee Lewis type theatrics thing, the best thing a piano player/singer can do it just what Macca did....sit and play. I take it you haven't performed much on a stage stanlove. peace

It's in the Village, NYC, I believe.
No, it's in an area called Union Plaza.
It's a little north of the Village, around 14th St.

Probably so. I caught part of the show. He did one number with Paul Simon that I saw,
both playing and singing, enjoyable.

Dear lord, I just watched Macca's SNL performance. I love the man and most of his music, but his voice is GONE! Watch it. When he begins singing Maybe I'm Amazed it is painful, embarrassing.

Yes, he was having a hard time. I suspect and hope he's just having a temporary problem and unlike Mick with his cancellation in Australia, he's such a pro that he decided to do the show anyway. I saw him this summer and he had no such problems. Besides he sure puts a lot of heart and feeling into it, amazingly so.
Here is the performance with Keith's introduction:

Thanks for posting that. I don't think his voice was gone at all. He surely was having some temporary problem with it (due to his previous concert the night before, maybe?), especially on the first part of the song, but in the end it was a good performance, I think.

He hit those high falsetto notes, though. Those were spot on. And the rough/screaming parts were damn good, too. Original key, also, I believe, B-flat.
