On which tour did the band look coolest (clotheswise)? I liked 76 Europe. Don't care much for the Michael Jackson hand-me-downs of the last couple of tours.

agreed..75/76 were the best. That Mariachi (sp) costume that Mick wore in 76 was fantastic.

Keith looked cool from 69-76

OK, Keith looked great in 69 with the red jacket top. With the silver inlays and the caballero pants. Snakeskin boots. In 72 he almost never changed except for the early shows when he'd wear that blue jockey shirt. In 76 especially Keith looked FABULOUS! What I especially dug was when he and Ron would dress in tandem. Like to match or offset each other. White leather vs black leather. One night they are running around in Esso jumpsuits.
Jagger looked supercool and hot in 78 IMO. Even in 72 he was pretty damn righteous. in 76 he went over the top in a silly way. He would try to fit like three looks into one outfit and looked @#$%& ridiculous at times. The jumpsuit in 72 was a stndard setter for rock looks.
As cool as 76 and 78 was, the ante was upped in 72.

In 81 - ALLTIME WORST Jagger!!! 82 just went down down down. What was it ...Napoli? With those deadly skyblue leggins with the white stripes on them? Hahaha LOL He looked like a little Bavarian schoogirl at her ballet recital...with a New Wave twist.
Agree that the last tours (except maybne Voodoo) are not too exciting. He is older so he has to be right on. The coats in 97 were funny.
Oh yeah - 89 SW was another bad one.
Ronnie is always cool. i think Jo drsses him. Lays it all out heehee...what a rocker.
Charlie was only off in 81 with the monk look and the 80's style Tshirts.

Do you think Jagger would dare to wear nowadays those jumpsuits he wore back in 72 and 73??? It would be better than the Jackson type wear, innit??

Agree with Chelsea on everything except the 81 Charlie look: I loved it.

78 Tour was Mick at his coolest. I loved that red driver's cap he wore. 75 and 81 he looked 'orrible! He really did set the standard with his 72-73 jumpsuits. Including that f*cking banana he stuffed-in!!!

I also disliked the maxi-coats from Steel Wheels and (I think) Voodoo. Keith and Mick both looked silly in them.

yea...81 was total failure for Mick

Wyman looked cool in that bright yellow suit on the 81 tour, but the (American)football pants on Mick looked silly. Mick's dress in 78 left something to be desired, too. It seems like the last 2 or 3 tours they've went more towards the quasi-military look of the Thriller. Hope they haven't picked up any other of his habits.

Mick's coat, hat, and sunglasses during Love Is Strong (and sometimes Sympathy) was great...and the suspenders in LA Staples '02 were becoming...if only Chuck would ditch the shiny stuff which does not suit him AT ALL...and Keith keep the headband!

I loved the '75 look best of all! Gauzy, colorful outfits, sashed waists, purple velvet capes( Buffalo, Aug 8, '75) Brilliant flowing scarves! Very sexy! I hated 1981 and 1978.

Stop what? I love the 75-76 outfits (75 the most) and haircuts, guitars, stage - everything. Noone has ever been cooler than Mick in 75. Except for KEith that same year. And Brian in '66 or '68-69. 78 is interesting even if the hat is ugly. 81? Christ. Good music with terrible clothes. Keith too. Hate that Gentleman-style vest with white shirt.
