Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top appeared on Steve Jones' radio show yesterday here in LA. Steve asked about talk he'd heard that ZZ Top might go on the road with the Stones this fall. Billy said they had received a nice invitiation from the Stones to do some shows together, possibly starting at the end of the summer. For me, ZZ Top opening for the Stones would be a great show, particularly now that ZZ Top is moving back toward its 70s sound (harder, bluesier). Anyway, thought I'd pass it along.

I read on this website that Joss Stone will open for the Stones in Miami. I've never heard of her. She looks hot though!

And she sounds fantastic. She sang on Mick's CD for the film Alfie.

She looks definitely hot and she sure knows how to sing as well. Get rid of screaming Lisa F and let Joss do a few duets with Sir Mick. In that case I wouldn't complain about the lousy ticket prices.

When ZZ Top were in there prime in the mid -'70's, they could have blown the Stones off the stage.
Just as Lynyrd Skynyrd did.

These days, I'd call it equal billing...ZZ would be the perfect opener.

Joss dressed up in a foxy dress would be right on. Please lose Ms Fisher she's finished. Bring back Merry Clayton who did the original singing on Gimme Shelter. I think will have to do with Lisa anyway since Mick seems to like Brown Sugar.

ZZ Top opened for the Stones in Hawaii - 1973 - and apparently blew them off the stage. Not in my books but they'd be a great opener again this time around.
