what are HOT SEATS?

I'm shocked at the different prices around the US for "Hot Seats" $650ish in Washington, $450ish in Boston. Anyone know what the Hot Seats package includes???

you get some "special merchandise" and a "collectible laminate" along with the ticket, but i don't see any details of what that is. some people have reported getting up-front seats in the pre-sale without going for the "hot seats" option but it would be great to hear more.

I grabbed the hot seats first for Fenway park - without reading the row 5-15 part first. Got Row 8, A3 or 4(don't remember). Then went back, waited 15 minutes while Ticketmaster worked, thought I was f'ed, then got A4, Row 2 after choosing 163 USD.
So, looks like the first 5 rows are fan club etc.
I only forgot one minor thing... I wrote "2" in the tickets field, forgot, lost 50 US on that. But hey, 2nd row.

this can't be right because you needed the code to get a hot seat! I did wonder tho who got the first 5 rows.

could you elucidate a little, please & thank you, TE? the "hot seats" will be rows 5 - 15, but you got 2nd row by using a fan-club passcode and bypassing the "hot seats" option?

Hi,
You must enter the code at both the hot seats and fan club seats.
I entered the code, decided 8th row was not worth it (4xxUS), then cancelled and entered the code at the fan club section and picked 163US as the price.
Lots of people at Shidoobee got 1st and 4th row I read yesterday.
Fan Asylium sells Row 5 or better.

but if i buy these seats from ticketmaster, it beats the uncertainty of buying close to the stage tickets later from scalpers for the same price or more!!
