From the bits available online, I think I agree with stonehearted's review: there may be an interesting book to be written about Charlie, but this isn't it.

I would LOVE to read a very good bio bout Mr. Watts!

I think it would a great read!

Jazz, Blues, The Stones, tours, solo work, his trouble in the 80's...it wouldn't surprise me if it were more interesting the Mick or Keefs!

Charlie seems like a low-profile kind of guy who keeps it under the radar. cool smiley

I'd guess that he would be reluctant to cooperate in a book venture. From bits that have come out from time to time, he is a very interesting man. & the greatest rock drummer ever!smiling smiley

Great question....

I would Love to read a Charlie biography or better yet autobiography!

What books are there about Ronnie not including "The Works" or Jo's recent book?

Ronnie's last bio, in 2007 i think, just called "Ronnie"

And a real literary masterpiece it is too!

Terry Rawlings' Rock On Wood is a pretty good overview of Ron's life - think it came out in the late '90s or thereabouts. I think the funniest bit may have been one of his brothers commenting "I've never seen him eat!"

My guess is anyone who would have a sense of how fascinating Charlie Watts is as a person and drummer
also respects him so much--and his obvious desire not to construct and put out a narrative of his
life--that they wouldn't write it.

Also, I don't imagine anyone who knows Charlie would cooperate in talking to a biographer about Charlie,
for the same reasons -- they have too much respect for him and his desire not to anecdotalize himself.
