I have always liked this Alicia Bridges song from 1978. Wonder who else enjoys -- or hates -- this record?

Her pronunciation of the word "action" has always infuriated me. Also, what the hell is a disco round? Why doesn't she just say dance floor if that's what she means?

Yeah Tatters, I had mixed feelings on "ack-shaun" but I ended up really liking this song. Worth hearing several times a year.

The whole disco diva thing was some record company guy's idea. Alicia was, at heart, a rock and roll singer. A really bad rock and roll singer.

Great disco song, I remember hearing it often in the clubs in Atlanta even in the early 80's. And, yes, the gays especially loved it and Alicia Bridges. Atlanta was full of gay clubs back then, maybe it still is. But, back then, it was one of the few big cities in the south where gays were more accepted, so ATL had a huge gay population and everyone visited their clubs, especially if you liked to dance.

It's called artistic license.

Say what you will about this dude and his scary faces. At least he doesn't say ack-shaun.

This lady probably used her older sister's fake ID to get into discos when this song was a hit. Time sure flies, don't it?

Ever wonder what goes on in that apartment across the hall? You know, where the neighbor you've never seen lives?

I love it when my wife sings it...... she nails the part that sounds like a mashed cat.
