I'm a Stones fan in Australia, and I read on this website the new album is due in the Summer (which I presume to mean the States). Problem for me is I don't know when Summer in the States is!! Could someone please tell me what month(s) we are talking about? Thanks!

Summer in North America is June 22 to September 22, same as all over the world, except the weather is opposite south of the equator! Hence, the reason most bands tour Australia either early or late in the year when the weather's nice down there and snow up here.

And just damn Esky for marrying during the summer in Perth! My makeup would run offa my face!

Heh, here in Finland summer officially starts already in 1st of June (it is called "kesäkuu", that is, "a month of summer"), so we don't belong to the world! (I knew that )

In California - Jan 1 to Dec 31.
In Alaska - August 5th

In Seattle August 10 to August 12.

Hey Rorty. Sorry, I didn't realize different countries may have different dates for the seasons! I just assumed every country went with March 22, June 22, September 22 and December 22 as the dates that the seasons officially change!

Hey Gazza, you got there before me with the Californian summer though I was going to say Feb 1st to Dec 31st as I believe they sometimes have to get their sweaters out in January.

It means the album will be out when the tour is starting up, whick is late summer, i.e. around Aug/Sept this year. But just like the hot summer weather may be unreliable, the Stones are made up of real people, and things may change.

First of all seasons are based on solteces (I know I spelt that wrong) so the seasons change at the same time for the whole world (24 hour day excluded). What season you get is dependent with what hemisphere you are in (north or south). So Aussies have summer when I get winter so obviously the ones that fill it in (fall and spring ) are still in their respective places. Now if I have not realy confused you Aussie toliets flush opposite to ours (clockwise). Unfortunatly 99% of world news comes from the northern hemisphere and we forget that.

I do sympatize with Mayfair because around hear it does feel like you only get two days a year sometimes.

No Gazza ole son it still goes down the craper the same but in everyday life there sure is a lot of bullshit that flies up and around down here.

Oh and by the way Aussie seasons start on the first of the months.

Autumn March 1
Winter June 1
Spring September 1
