Philly rocks! Can't wait for the show tonight in my hometown where I saw them first in 78 at JFK (and then again in '81).

This is for meeting up before the show:

The Holiday Inn 15 minutes walking away (see map below), across the parking, has got a large sports bar, so anyone staying there don't need to walk far. Then later on before show time say 5pm and on I would recommend this place:

There is a large catering area, more like a eating and drinking center, right in the center of the sports complex called Xfinity, with a number of bars and dining places open every day. See the "A" in the map below. I would recommend this place if you need to meet up with other fans on show day:

Victory Beer Park

It is 3 minutes walk facing the Well Fargo Center, also facing the Xfinity outdoor stage with oudoor eating and drinking tables as well.

By the way, the Phillies won their home game last night - Congratulations! This photo below was taken out of my window at 7:30pm precise, as they were singing the National Anthem. A packed stadium. The Wells Fargo Center and the Victory Beer Park is to the right and just behind this stadium, as seen from this front view.

Anyone got a guess what we are going to get from Brad Paisley as a guest?

Anyone have an opinion whether it will be possible to get a cab after the show, and the best corner to try?

Also, does the answer change if you leave before Satisfaction?

I'll be there Friday, coming from NY

Philly always gets the best Stones shows.

I've been down for every tour since the infamous 78 show at JFK with Peter Tosh.

Saw both openers in 81 with Thorogood (great) and Journey (sucked).

The one good Voodoo Lounge show I saw was at Vets in the pouring rain.

The 97 Bridges show there was fantastic, as were the No Security stops and the Licks arena show.

Can't wait to get down there.

Almost left out the Steel Wheels opener where the power went out during Shattered and people though maybe Wyman had collapsed or something. That was a fantastic show, after all those years, no Internet, not knowing what to expect.

Wouldn't be so sure about that. Stones reference "Ruby Tuesday" weekly on Facebook and Twitter.

If you mean the Twitter words "Ruby Tuesday in Philadelphia today!" - they might as well mean today's day... cool smiley

Dead Flowers ? Although a country solo on Respectable would be pretty cool, John Mayer ventured a bit into that territory last year!

Keith Urban guested on "Respectable", but wouldn't necessarily label his solos as country.

Opening night in 81 they played Mona and Down the Road Apiece. Imagine that now. How I wish.

Yeah, that's what I saw. I figured they were posting the fan pick, but see that RT wasn't even on the ballot. I'm good with any of tonight's choices except "You Got Me Rockin"

Actually they were played at the second Philly show, not the first.

Had forgotten about him (how surprising...) but John Mayer's solo definitely had some "twang" to my ears ;-)

Hey Hometown. Give 'em a big shout for me.

A few years from now we won't believe what a wonderful gift this tour was.

Regarding traffic, there is some major work currently underway on 95 just north of Philadelphia in both directions. Can really get jammed up both ways. If coming this way allow extra travel time. If stuck on the way to the show, try exiting at Aramingo Ave and head south...

If you are coming from NYC, you can take the NJ Turnpike to the Philadelphia exit (4?) and then immediately get on 295 south, and then take the Walt Whitman Bridge into Philadelphia...

Enjoy the show!

On their facebook page they announced "Ruby Tuesday in Philly tonight!" I hope that means they're actually playing that one tonight . . . After emotional, EXCELLENT performances of "Memory Motel" and "Whip" back-to-back last show, doing this one and "If You Can't Rock Me" as web-choice (I hope it wins! then we get another not-yet-played-tune for this tour!) would be awesome.
