I live out in the suburbs of Boston but took my son to the game today. It was really nice to go into the city. People were extra friendly saying hello and such which is not always the case. It was a really good day people were upbeat and starting on the long road to revovery. Boston is a great city and last weeks events were something I never thought I would witness. Great to see everyone talking to police officers and thanking them for the good work they did in apprehending the suspects. Hats off to the public for sending in tips and heading the warnings and staying in on Friday. It was great to be in the city and I have no doubt that the city will recover. As David Ortiz said yesterday to the fans at Fenway "dont fuc* with our city".

They also played it in Yankee Stadium after the bombings to show support for the great people of Boston.

Max - We handed you one tonight!!! Walk in the winning run!!! I'd rather see the guy hit a grand slam than get a free run.

Max - Royals look pretty good this year. Been a while good luck.

Max - They are developing from within for the most part. Adding Santana is a good move, Now if they can get Hosmer and Moustakas to hit they really may have something. Always liked the Royals I could watch George Brett swing a bat all day his swing was poetry in motion. Would liek to see some different teams battle it out. I also like the Red Sox team they have a bunch of baseball players instead of over paid primadonnas. I still don't think they can win anything of consequence but they will battle you.

Wave of Support to Replace Boat Ruined in Bomber's Standoff With Cops [abcnews.go.com]

Henneberry quickly called the cops and in a final standoff, his boat was riddled with bullet holes.

"That boat's his baby. He takes care of it like you wouldn't believe. And they told him it's all shot up," Henneberry's friend and neighbor George Pizzuto told ABC News. "He's going to be heartbroken."

Today, people around the country want to make help mend that broken heart.

Deborah Newberry, 62, of Orlando, Fla., has already put a $25 check in the mail to Henneberry's home.

"Something told him to go and check things," Newberry told ABCNews.com. "I just want him to know that people care about him because I know he's probably the guy that would say, 'Well, that's okay.' But I just would like him to know that we're all thinking about him and appreciate his spirit."

She believes Henneberry had to be "awfully, awfully cool" to emerge from a daylong lockdown, notice something wrong with his boat, find a bloody man in it and slip away to call police.

"Just listening to his coolness and how he handled the situation, it was like okay, that is a man who needs to have his boat restored," Newberry said.

BV, nicely put!! Being from Massachusetts, it seemed much more personal. Boston is that rare mix of tough, compassionate, bleeding heart liberal/ civil rights champions and do NOT MESS WITH US determination. By the time the Stones arrive in June, hopefully it will feel more " normal". I'm sure that the Rolling Stones will be a big part of the healing process!

We are pretty stupid here when it comes to geography. It isn't stressed at all in the schools.

Glad to see it..said before on different thread, hope his insurance covers & replaces...it's got blood stains & bullet holes & will probably be tied up in evidence a long time...he won't be sailing in it this season! eye popping smiley
