Romantic lyrics by Stones and others

I'm looking for some help here, I am getting married next month and a friend of mine is going to do a reading. He asked us to write down some things that we feel about eachother, also pick out some lyrics from various songs and he's going to piece it all together and make his reading that way.

Looking for some good lines from songs that would fit this. I used something already from Dylan's To Make You Feel My Love but wanted something from the Stones as well. Other artists lyrics are welcome too, any good ideas??

Bruce Springsteen's "If I Should Fall Behind" was played and sang at my wedding by a couple of good friends.

We said we'd walk together baby come what may
That come the twilight should we lose our way
If as were walkin a hand should slip free
Ill wait for you
And should I fall behind
Wait for me

We swore we'd travel darlin side by side
Wed help each other stay in stride
But each lovers steps fall so differently
But I'll wait for you
And if I should fall behind
Wait for me

Now everyone dreams of a love lasting and true
But you and I know what this world can do
So lets make our steps clear that the other may see
And I'll wait for you
If I should fall behind
Wait for me

Now there's a beautiful river in the valley ahead
There neath the oaks bough soon we will be wed
Should we lose each other in the shadow of the evening trees
Ill wait for you
And should I fall behind
Wait for me
Darlin I'll wait for you
Should I fall behind
Wait for me

Mick Taylor `I want you`...so wonderful and emotional...for kissing, making love and also for wedding...

It's part of the game
to be cool and unaffected
when I call and say
that I want you
And you're just the same
hide your joy, show no surprise
when I call and say
that I want you
Baby I want you, and I love you more each day
Baby I want you, and I love you more each day
Loving you so long
Where is the life that's been lost in the living
Where is the love that's been lost in the giving
Nights are so endless
we're always too late for the mornings that follow
though we better come down and reach for tomorrow
Baby I want you, and I love you more each day
Baby I want you, and I love you more each day
Loving you so long
I play my guitar for you sweetly on this song
You know I want you more each day
Baby I want you, and I love you more each day
Baby I want you, and I love you more each day
Baby I want you
Baby I need you
Baby I want you

No Mistake from the Talk Is Cheap record is quite romantic. So is Ruby Tuesday. For non-Stones, I like the line from Paul Simon's Graceland: "losing love is like a window in your heart / everybody sees your blown apart"

I actually do love the lyrics, I think it is wildly romantic...but I'm not sure it's the best song for a wedding. Grandma and grandpa might not approve.

I'm getting married in June and we picked Mick's Hang On To Me Tonight, we love the song but realized recently it could be a little tough to dance to as a wedding song.

Also realized when picking our wedding song that most Stones ballads are about breakups, have drug references or the lyrics are on the dark side. But I guess that is generally why if I were a kid in the 60s the Stones would appeal to me way more than the Beatles.

The Stones never seemed to be very romantic to me. Their music seems to be more about fast living.

I always thought felt that VooDoo Lounge was a romantic album, but in retrospect it may have had more to do with the woman I shared it with.... Sparks Did Fly, our love was strong, we were sweet hearts together, the moon came up, we went wild, she got me rocking, I was blinded by rainbows, we bought a brand new car, it was awesome times.

thumbs up good times, Max, we all had our heyday and very good times, mine were the 70s and the end 80s till the mid 90s, sweet memories ...

during Voodoo Lounge tour and time, btw, I felt being pretty cool on my way ... voodoo lounge being my soundtrack through that time ...

My love for you is immeasurable
My respect for you immense
You're ageless, timeless, lace and fineness
You're beauty and elegance

You're a rhapsody, a comedy
You're a symphony and a play
You're every love song ever written
But honey what do you see in me

You're in my heart, you're in my soul
You'll be my breath should i grow old
You are my lover, you're my best friend
You're in my soul

Wasn't Rod singing about Celtic?

Pretty sure the song was written to a woman - whom he compares his love of Celtic (and Manchester United) to. I think this is right - we Americans know very little about English football.

I've always thought Songbird by Fleetwood Mac was special:

For you, there'll be no more crying,
For you, the sun will be shining,
And I feel that when I'm with you,
It's alright, I know it's right

To you, I'll give the world
To you, I'll never be cold
'Cause I feel that when I'm with you,
It's alright, I know it's right.

And the songbirds are singing,
Like they know the score,
And I love you, I love you, I love you,
Like never before.

And I wish you all the love in the world,
But most of all, I wish it from myself.

And the songbirds keep singing,
Like they know the score,
And I love you, I love you, I love you,
Like never before, like never before.

And this was played at my wedding, chosen by me in tribute to my wife:

More (theme from Mondo Cane) by Frank Sinatra:

More than the greatest love the world has known,
This is the love I give to you alone,
More than the simple words I try to say,
I only live to love you more each day.

More than you'll ever know, my arms long to hold you so,
My life will be in your keeping, waking, sleeping, laughing, weeping,
Longer than always is a long long time, but far beyond forever you're gonna be mine.
I know I've never lived before and my heart is very sure,
No one else could love you more.

More than you'll ever know , my arms they long to hold you so,
My life will be in your keeping, waking, sleeping, laughing, weeping,
Longer than always is a long long time, but far beyond forever you'll be mine,
I know that I've never lived before and my heart is very sure,
No one else could love you more, no one else could love you more

The lyrics of the Beatles' FOR YOU BLUE are simple but effective.

"Moonlight" by Bob Dylan is a romantic song, especially if one connects romantic moments with it.

"Two Less Lonely People" by Air Supply...actually, just about anything by Air Supply. You can't go wrong with them when you're looking for songs like this.
