If you want good music in a sexy video, that's pretty hard to find these days.
"Stripper" by Soho Dolls would be such an example.
But if you don't care about turning off bad music and just watch the video, there are basically no limits anymore these days: That Eric Prydz video is proof enough that porn has got an obvious influence on the visuals of current era music videos.
Paffendorf - Crazy, Sexy, Marvellous (2 versions) is an especially silly song. But I guess non-native speakers tend to write lyrics akin to the Cheeky Girls kind of style when they try to be sexy. (By the way, there is another song by this group out there which is absolutely hilarious because of its lyrics and the seriousness with which they are presented in the not-so-sexy video. If you could use a good laugh, look for "Be Cool" by Paffendorf).
The Ministry Of Sound label which specializes in house music and dancefloor has made sexy videos somewhat a theme of theirs. Alex Gaudino's "Destination Calabria" (uncensored) and several Fedde Le Grand videos deserve to be mentioned. Not my sound at all, though. But sexiness seems to be a way for the label to get people into their not so sexy music.
It has also occurred that a porn star or former branches out into other, more well respected areas of entertainment. One way to do this seems to be to record a single. It's pretty easy to do these days: program a beat and write some silly lyrics. N-Gels feat. Estelle Desanges - "Sex Machine" is far from being a cover of the James Brown song of the same name. And besides being a porn star, Cicciolina Staller used to be an Italo Pop singer in the 80s as well.
Russian and Ukrainian girl groups specialize in this kind of music and visual marketing method these days. When Tatu broke the charts worldwide, they were really just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to marketing crappy music to dirty old men. Dasha Astafieva's group NikitA has made some videos in recent years which showcase that there are almost no boundaries to sexy music videos around these parts. Yet, the local people are kind of annoyed by this kind of music being everywhere on the radio because of the crappy lyrics that don't have anything at all to do with the videos and that don't adress any problems of society in those countries at all. It's like these videos are just made to please the dirty old men in power and gloss over the problems they created. People tell me that's also an effect displayed on Italian TV stations, though not to the same degree of nakedness as in those Ukrainian and Russian music videos.
Some electronic music groups also feel they need the popularity from creating a scandal when their music video borders on being porn. An example would be "Plug Me In" by the group Add N To X.
That The Beloved video above seems like a reprise of Malcolm McLaren's "Madame Butterfly" video from the 80s who used that same trick back then as well.
And then, there are the gothic groups which openly hint at or even perform sexual acts on stage at their concerts. It goes without saying that their music videos are raunchy or at least display a certain amount of nakedness as well. One example for this would be German group Grausame Töchter. Their reason to include the topics of dominance and submission into their lyrics and videos is not all about the image but surely must have something to do with the lifestyle of the artists themselves as well - unlike the many female pop stars who have incorporated such stylistical elements in their videos, such as "Erotica" by Madonna and "Not Myself Tonight" by Christina Aguilera.
Of course, Madonna is like the trailblazer when it comes to sexy music videos. There was a time when she based her entire career around sexy music videos such as "Vogue", "Justify My Love", "Human Nature". I guess current star Lady Gaga would dress differently, were it not for the influence of Madonna on the fashion sense of pop music marketing. At least, she would wear some pants ...
Nina Hagen, punk icon from the 70s and always a campaigner for the acceptance of female sexuality in society who also never shunned a media scandal, has accused Lady Gaga of displaying symbols of black magic in her videos and of being part of a conspiracy to turn back the wheel when it comes to womens liberation. So if you watch a Lady Gaga video, I'd like to recommend you watch a music video by English group The KLF right afterwards, kind of like an antidote to the teen pop crap. They were conspiracy theory experts and though not really sexy, the music from their videos will prevail in the long run, whereas the sounds accompanying most of the extremely sexy videos will sound very dated.
