Yeah, well, after hearing them play in December, they can use all the help they can get. Not all of the guest spots work, but it certainly makes the band work.
Jack White - only this time playing electric guitar, no vocals.
Diana Krall - playing piano and duetting with Mick on 'Melody'.

I surprised nobody said nobody. No guests mean better Stones music. Rare is the guest ppearance that is better than a Stones number without the guest. Very rare.

If you they are going to have multiple guests, I liked most (not all), of the guests from the 5 mini-tour. Bring some of them back (mostly the guitarists, not the singers...
If i could have any one guest, of course it'd be Jimmy Page.
I've heard rumors that Phish might play with them in Philly.. I think that'd be awesome.

I don't want to start a new thread on this, but I will if no one answers it soon (within a week or so)... BUT I've heard rumors that Phish will be in Philly. Are these just stupid rumors? Or is there any truth to this?

Special guests are just a marketing ploy to justify the fact that fans are getting soaked on the ticket prices.
Special guests muddle the chemistry of the musicians onstage, and disrupt the flow of the show.
If I wanted to see Lady Gaga onstage, I wouldn't want to go to a Stones concert to see it.
The only special guest worthy of a Stones set is a former Rolling Stone, someone who at least has something to do with the music that's being played.
Special guests are not so special after all.

The more I think about it maybe the "guest spots" should be people who played on that particular song.

They should fly me in for 3-4 shows. Id be happy to just stand off stage and snap my fingers occasionaly or maybe clap (no microphone needed, of course)... and I wouldnt even want/need an introduction.

It sure would make up for never sending me a Birthday card and never coming to Kansas City, always making me travel.
I am an excellent guest. I arrive on time, or a fashionably late, and usually leave before they start asking people to go, unless I am asked to "stay a while"

My faves I would like as guests would be Brian Jones,Ian Stewart,Jimi Hendrix,James Brown, Janis Joplin,Dusty Springfield and a few more that just can't make it. 
More realistically would be Orianthi and Tal Wilkenfeld the two lovely Ozzie gals,and that's about it realy.
Mick Taylor makes up for any other male guys to join The Rolling Stones on stage. ><
