It's true about Camilla's title though. I wonder if the Queen decided on the title for Camilla, herself? I don't think there ever was a very popular, "Duchess of Cornwall," in England's history, they are usually depicted as tragic figures, or rather, Shakespeare made them appear so.

Prince Charles is also known as the Duke of Cornwall. Theres no way she'd get the title of Princess of Wales, as that is reserved for someone who will, in time, be Queen. She won't ever be. Thankfully.

can't say I'm aware of who any previous ones were.

There is a Duchess of Gloucester and a Princess Michael of Gloucester (an Austrian woman whose real name is Marie-Christine). The latter one wasnt that popular with the press during the '80's (who also took great delight in finding out that her dad was an SS officer!), although to be honest I doubt too many people are really that bothered with relatively 'minor' public figures sufficiently to develop any liking/disliking for them. Maybe thats the one you were thinkin' of, perhaps.

No such title as Duke of Wales. It's Prince of Wales (the normal title given to the heir to the throne). The wife of a duke would be a duchess,as you know, I'm sure..

Duke of Cornwall is an additional title, not a replacement. There's no pecking order when it comes to locations, such as Cornwall, Wales etc. .. LOL.

They are not attractive, but he's been waiting his whole existance to marry her. So it is about time!

I believe you're referring to the recently deceased Duchess of Gloucester. I have a friend who's met the Queen, Princess Margaret and the D. of G. He said the D. of G. was really sweet and very friendly.

By the way, is Elton John going to attend the wedding or has Her Majesty decreed that only one queen will be in attendance. Sorry, couldn't resist a jokie at Reg's expense.

I knew when I typed, the "Duke of Wales" that it didn't sound right. I know that Edward (Mrs. Simpson's Edward) was the Prince Of Wales and he abdicated, I know that likewise, Charles also has the same title, (lapse of memory). I couldn't remember how the Mrs. titles went.

I wasn't refering to any particular Duchess of Gloucester, just the "D of G" as a whole, but now that I think of it, I must have gotten this idea from Wills, (Shakespeare that is).

I said that because it would be strange if Keith accepted this offer. Keith was against Mick's knighthood and against the monarch at all. By the way: I think this news isn't confirmed yet by reliable sources
