D&G - to me the best single since SMU. Would have made a great album opener, too. Shame it wasn't.

Yet another instance of the band surprising us!

It's a bit too Lenny Kravitz like for me, but much better than I would expect from a new release by the modern day stones.

With the will and focus it shows they can still produce great singles.

I still listen to it... because it's recent. It takes some work to remember to play it. I do like it, but I don't.

Still better than anything from 1986.

Here's something I noticed.

In the 'Doom And Gloom' video at around the 1:06 mark, Keith Richards is missing his left fretting arm/hand when strumming the open G chord.
