I love the Stones. My favorite band for all time. I must admit now that I have a very hard time listening to Mick's "new" vocal stylings and his voice.

You are right..it started after they recorded Voodoo Lounge although it wasn't that bad in the studio for Bridges but that sort of quavering snarky thing he does is not my cup o tea! My daughter says he sounds like he's terrified and his voice is shaking and quiverring.


I sort of wish he took a more Bob Dylan sort of route and spoke lyrics vs. trying to sing. It's painful for me. I heard One More Shot on Sirius and I couldn;t listen to it.
I was at the show in New Jersey in December and his vocal stylings left me very cold.

I mean, the stuff he did on the songs on Exile to my ears was not good at all.The vocal on So Divine... It's almost like he's completely eradicted any black music influence he may have once had. Maybe it's an age thing?

his voice deterioates.
in other words, gets less. But...Keef is playing better and Ronnie at his peak!!
and Charlie... well CharlieĀ“s good tonite aint he
