Pretty cold now, -40 C in northern parts of Sweden, -20 C in southern parts of Sweden. In the south they are not used to these temperatures in December; so they complain.
If these temperatures hit southern, or mid-, Europe it would be a disaster of course.

It's going to happen. Way much sooner than whenever.

Currently awaiting Storm Barra - and they've only just about finished reconnecting all the people in Scotland and the North who lost power after Storm Arwen a couple of weeks ago.

Your mama told me it snowed the day you were born, you lowdown hear sucker! Not sure I’d mind Moscow, likely warmer than here and I like borscht, but don’t know what I’d do with a G-string, as I don’t own a guitar.

Crazy warm(ish) weather in the UK at the moment - 14-17 degrees Celsius, the normal average is 6-8............

We've had a much welcomed rainy and cool start to winter in Northern Cal. Looks like one more storm next week then a milder dry pattern. While the rain is encouraging, I think from here on out we will be in an overall rain deficit. We need to figure out a better way to manage our water supply.
