"Don't cry, Chuck! He's from Denmark that's all..."

I think the boys would have a difficult time on stage without the presence of Chuckie. Think about all the songs that would be mixed up, played in the wrong key and so on. The good thing with Chuck is that he's always in good shape, he's on top of things and he's not a heavy drinker. I'd be more worried about Ronnie's liquor habits and his smoking.

After all, the most important things are that there'll be a new CD and an awesome and a comprehensive tour. Chuck is the least of a problem if you ask me.

I'm really very sick of the Chuck bashing! As you said, Chuck is an essential part of their sound and he certainly adds more than he detracts! Yes, he is the conductor, the one who keeps Keith in line and in key and who intertwines with the rest of the instruments so give it a rest! I hate the thought of reading endless posts about how Chuck screwed up once the tour starts! So BORING and so senseless!

Yes, he's not the one to blame.

I think it's wrong to confront Chuck with it. You can hate him on this board, but you can't express your feelings about him like you did.
I don't like his playing at all, but he is needed on stage. I think he works hard and always wants to make the best out of it. That's good. He plays like shit, but someone hired him...

I actually think Chuck is nice person.

Come to think of it, since there are those who believe in this ancient art of weaving stuff, perhaps the real weaving takes place between Keith and CHUCK. That's it isn't it??? More power to them both.

unbelievable. i'm sure the administrators of the boards you mentioned will be thrilled that you told them to look at the sites to see that chuck is not appreciated.

tacky. really tacky.

I think Chuck should be left alone. I am not keen on much of his playing but i think he serves a vital purpose - to detract attention away from the weak guitars and broaden out the sound.Any shortcoming in live performances should be directed at the Stones, not Chuck.
The Stones must be content with him or they would not use him all the time.

To send such an e-mail to the guy is disrespectful and insulting in the extreme.

If you have a problem with the guy being there or his sound levels, maybe you should direct it to the Stones, whom you seem to blindly hero-worship so much.

They employ him and they obviously think he's an essential part of their show. If he's not, then the buck stops with them.

Chuck does exactly what he is hired to do. This was very low, Kent.

I'm not going to stick up for Kent now, he can defend himself.
But I think he didn't mean to insult Chuck, he just didn't express his criticism in an appropriate way.
Telling him to play behind curtains is certainly offending...would be better to tell him that the mix could be enhanced, that the Stones are a guitar band and not a Vegas orchestra.

You and your requests...

Asking the Masysles Brothers´ company wether they copy their Altamont reels for you was pretty hilarious already but THIS request is insulting, totally uncalled for and, well, just utterly stupid.

It´s time to think Kent!
Next time you get a lesson of the bald-headed denominator..

If you think his playing is not good for the stones, you should complain to Mick or Keith. Not Chuck. He applied for the job and got it.

I don´t like the fact that the Stones need a guy like Chuck to save them. But things are like they are, and he´s just doing his job the best way he can.
I met Chuck in person, and he is very nice to talk to.

I think that Kent will receive an mail from Chuck, telling him that he can listen outside the concertvenues on the next tour, because he don´t fit Chucks image of an Stonesfansmiling smiley

Just pulling your leg, Kent, but a little thinking ahead next time might be an good idea, ok?.

If Chuck wasnt there, then people would simply find someone else to whine about and another bandwagon to jump on.

I mean, do people seriously believe the guy dictates to the Stones how they should play their own songs and how high HE should be in the mix?

get @#$%& real.

What's the deal here? I've been out drinking and I can see that I've missed something of crucial importance. I don't recall finding a thread without a specified subject before. Did you get a message from Mr Leavell or did Mr Vik chastise you big time? I'd be thankful if you'd inform us what's going down here.
