Yes, Mick Taylor is getting paid for these appearances and probably expenses as well. The money they are making off of this run is staggering even by their standards. I for one hope he is at least getting $100,000 US per gig.

I care more whether or not he'll be given a chance to play more than Midnight Rambler.

So it's not like the time Keith got a telegram from MT backstage during the Licks tour where he stated that he was broke and depressed and Keith responded something like "You should've thought of that before leaving the band"...

Mick Taylor is being at least the minimum wage. That is the law.

Maybe $200,000 for all the gigs, is my guesstimate.

That's because it's something that Ronnie made up.

Yeah, right... The RS are not exactly known for their generosity.

Any "insiders" care to comment on if Taylor is getting paid?

Forget it.
25.000 for a show max. Not more.

I am not sure how much box office appeal Mick Taylor has. Not that much.

And if he were offered just $25,000 a concert, I doubt if he could turn it down.

Yes that would be my guess too. Commercially that's a generous pay day for him, especially for one number per show, and the Stones are not sentimental.

No, I remember hearing this from a media source at the time, with two quotes I remember from MT's note being "Say hello to Mick" and "I'm a little short on cash".

At this point I would like to renominate my choices
for PPV guests.... esp considering the $25,000 pay day...

1) GravityBoy CYHMK
2) 71tele for HTW
3) Justin for MR
4) memphiscats and latebloomer duo helping Mick on Gimme Shelter

Is not all about money - all of them know.

My guess would be $10,000, 2 tickets + travel expenses and no profit sharing on Pay-per-view, DVD, rights. Or $15,000, no profit sharing and takes care of his own travel arrangments.

Based on what you ahve posted/said, I would big bet money you could.

And I was being more serious than you can imagine...
I guarantee all you guys could pull it off... it would be AMAZING TO SEE.
Why not? The Stones really should bring on some fans at shows as guests...
It would be a pisser and the crowd would have to love it....

Maybe in 2013

Wyman, Beck, Clapton, Clark Jr., Mayer, Mary J, Florence, Bruce and the Black Keys all I bet are performing as invited guests sitting in. Very little money if any with some them or most of them. At least a lot less than some of the figures I'm seeing here. Believe it or not even those big names can use the publicity of being onstage with the Stones and they'll enjoy it.

MT getting paid for sitting in on one song? Four times? I highly doubt he gets much more than a few grand per night and that even seems high. For the States gigs I can see the band paying the travel,lodging/dining expense, but a 100 grand each performance or 25 grand? Lol. No way.

But I'll like the Stones a little bit more if I'm wrong.

I understand having Clapton or others from their time period guest but I wish they would quit wasting time bringing in some just to show Mick "knows who's hip"...real Stones fans dont give a shit about these "guests"...

Yes, they are all working gratis especially Lady GaGa, they are so thrilled to be on the same stage as the Rolling Stones.

My guess is $25,000 per show for MT. Not because he deserves it but to make amends for shortchanging him for his previous album work. Even that is getting off cheaply.

And 25 thou is chump change for jagger/richards.

That would be an interesting promotion. There are enough of us who have played these tunes practically our whole lives. There would have to be some sort of audition or process to make sure no one really bad would end up onstage.

Reminds of the show The Who did in the 70s where Keith Moon passed out and they got a guy from the audience to step in. Apparently he wasn't that good...

Trying to fill in on drum for Moon would be a fools errand (is this a correct use of that term, where the errand is impossible to do)... BUT I have no doubts some folks from IORR could do quite well on stage with the Stones. They could sign you up, you send in a tape/DVDto let the techs look check you out, then day of the show you get yourself to the arena for sound check, they make sure you dont suck.... and voila!! YOU ARE ON!! The biggest hurdle would be the stage fright of seeing 20,000 people (picture them naked)(on 2nd thought, with the elderly fans, maybe not).

I will play Air Guitar for only $20,000. They can pipe in my guitar part.

Probably $500.00 USD per show and a paltry Per Diem of some sort.
