Dead Flowers - performed by JumpingKentFlash and myself

Hi guys!

I formed a band with Kenty and we played Dead Flowers together - if you want you can download it, just click on the link further down. (if that doesn't work, let me know please)

It's far from a perfect recording, of course - Kent sent me a mp3 file with him on electric guitar and vocals. I added an acoustic guitar on the right channel and an cheap out-of-tune electric for the licks and the horrible solo, and I used the body of my acoustic to add some "percussions." And sometimes you can hear me a bit "singing" on the chorus...
You have to turn the volume up, it's not very loud. And if you listen to it very often it's suddenly not that bad anymore :-))

Take some time, download it, give it a listen and tell us what you think, please!!

yeah, skippy that's right... I don't post on shidoobee, but the Fan Tribute CD is a good idea, in my opinion!

Potted Shrimp, I'm working on your request ;-)

welcome aboard - I sent some old stuff recorded in 1970 and 71. Gimme Shelter for Vol. I, Street Fighting Man for Vol II and Live With ME if there's a Vol III. It's still hard to believe that when we (The Fourth Occurrence) started playing back in '65 songs like Shelter, Jack Flash, Honky Tonk Women, Brown Sugar didn't even exist.

Good luck and crank one out for Vol III and hopefully many more to follow.

Skippy, I'm looking forward to hear your songs!
Kent and I are working on more songs, we just have to find a website to upload them to make them available...

Meanwhile I thank Jean-Pascal from [wwww.rockpassion.com] very much for giving us some space on his great website, so everybody can download the song there!

Nice work guys! When you do your version of Brown Sugar could you please turn up the volume on the vocals. Anyway, I like your little Danish-Austrian cooperation.

Yes. Lorenz is right. Our next song will be great. And in a couple of songs we might get the great Martin_Stone from Argentina, who turns 15 this Friday BTW, on our recordings.

It would be cool to have you on some songs in our online band "Fallen Angels". Martin_Stone from Argentina is also interested in doing a couple of songs.

The way we did it was that I recorded the electric guitar while singing using WavePad. Then I sent it to Lorenz and he added backing vocals, rythm beat, and the acoustics. We already have a few songs in the making. Then he mixed it using Cool Edit Pro.

If you wanna be on a couple Wouter just say the word. We'd love to have you. We could do Sweet Vagina........VIRGINIA I mean!!!! We could do it the same way and the song is good for that country feel and some good back-up singing.

"UpTight With JonaTwin" is a documentary of my life in Seattle, November '02, just after the Stones played the Tacoma Dome.

It includes all Stones Seattle landmarks, live performances by me, and rehearsal tapes of me playing Stones songs, incl. Dead Flowers, HTW, Casino Boogie (live), and others...

Anybody's got a DVDr player can own their own copy. It's best to watch when you're rat-assed dronk w/a few Stones fans.

I am quite talented, you know... just ask my legions of dedicated followers. ;`}

Hey Wouter! Would be cool if you join us.
Do you have a program where you can record different tracks?
Because we would send you a file and you have to overdub your guitar/singing.
Kent doesn't have this program, so he sent me the basic track and I overdubbed some instruments.

The program I use is called Cool Edit Pro 2.0, it's quite expensive if you buy it (299$), but I heard that you can find cracked versions on the internet (kazaa?).

Thanks again for all your comments!

Mathijs, it was me who played the electric and I did tune it, but the problem is that some strings broke and I had to replace them with some old strings that didn't really fit. Furthermore, I used my cheap Ibanze guitar which is constantly out of tune anway if I bend a note...

Our next song should be available for download soon (http://www.rockpassion.com) and it's much better, imo - I searched hours for a nice fitting scale to play some good licks/solo and Kent does a very good job on vocals and on electric guitar!
