By that yardstick you're also saying that a Chuck Berry cover is not a good one to play.

That's completely different - CB inspired Stones, not the Beatles.
Being a Stones fan, you should know that - waking up in the middle of the night, you should be able to say: who inspired Stones: Chuck Berry and the rest of the Blues gang, not the Beatles.

Being a Stones fans and a realist, I wake up in the night, hand on balls, and say "Who inspired The Stones: Chuckie, old blues guys AND their contemporaries - The Beatles especially".
To think that they weren't inspired by The Beatles is simply wrong. They very much were.... And the other way around too. That's why The Stones and The Beatles are special to me: They provide something that's old and new in one mix. The Stones probably moreso than The Beatles. They were the ones covering new ground, while Stones were covering old ground. They both sought out similar things and extremely good things came of it in each band's respective way.

Good setlist for sure. I saw the clip of GOMC, and while it's a good song, I think it's not their best opener because they haven't played it tight enough for eons. Good version, but should have been something else. If I was there, I'd probably feel different though.
