The Stones have also usually overdubbed more than 2 guitars - I was listening to the singles collection & noticed at least 4 on 'Spider & the Fly,' for example. They really crafted those classics carefully. I think Crazy Horse originally was a great band; alas they made only one 'solo' album before Jack Nitzsche split & Danny Whitten died. Its worth getting if you dig Neil & don't know it ("Crazy Horse", Reprise 1971/ also on CD) - Neil contributes a song). I am a Neil fan but the rhythm section can be a bit, whats the word, leaden? I assume its intentional, but makes "Road Rock vol 1" & "Year of The Horse" & "Arc/Weld" hard to digest in a saingle sitting. I do Love 'Everybody Knows This is Nowhere."
