A long time favorite of mine. Met him once. He was the same in real life as onstage which is saying something.

There was a little bit of Elvis in Mojo and a lot of mojo. RIP.

What is that supposed to mean?

Mojo had a song (later career) called "She's Vibrator Dependent"

You're good. Easy to miss unless you were a pretty serious fan. Obviously the song wasn't on the radio & I'm pretty sure the album was a deep indie release.

Somewhere around 1997, I was super stoked to find out that Mojo was set to play my local watering hole, Call the Office, in London, Ontario. I was quick to snap up tickets as I'd been a Mojo fan for a while after having become aware of him from the Dead Milkmen's classic Punk Rock Girl. As it turned out there was little reason to rush to buy tickets as there were maybe 10 of us there so see him play. I was embarrassed that my home town produced such a poor turnout for Mojo but he put on a show like the place was packed with patrons who were all hooting and hollering for more. It turned out to be an incredible, almost private show that I'll never forget. RIP Mojo.

Here is a really funny story about when Don Henley crashed Mojo's show in Austin
