Don't worry, we all have that. It doesn't mean anything, I have the same. And for the 15, I have row: 0 hahaha.

Some info on the design from the "countdown thead" :

Quote

What little is known about the new stage is that it will feature the band's familiar lips-and-tongue logo anchored by a central standing-room, general-admission area. That's so the band can switch gears from stadium-rock anthems to tunes "that afford moments of huge intimacy," which hark back to the band's beginnings as a club act, says Woodroffe.

And what bv posted earlier in this thread :

Quote

If you have long arms and a strong will, then I am sure you will be able to handshake with at least two of the six RS band members when you are in the pit...

Might there be something/someone "above" the pit at times? Or will the "contour" of the tongue move up and down with people getting access to it?...

Anyway the updated list :

....I think the pit is going to be unpleasant....

The horror, the horror. Laughing out loud.
I can't wait for the pit....I'm in their on the 13th and the 15th.

I'm tall and I like to stand, maybe even tap my toe.
I've never had to go to the bathroom during a live Stones appearance in my entire life. And I've seen them 75 times.
No chairs. YES. Nobody to yell "down in front" even though that's exactly where I'll be....in front.
I hope the set is full of warhorses, or "hits" which is what we used to call them.
I look forward to hearing keyboards and horns, too. Sometimes a piano fill or a horn line is my favorite part of a song.
It's great to be a Stones fan right now!! Woooooooooo!!

Beast, do you have a super-fast computer? I couldn't get anything decent in the US FB presale.
Can't wait to hear from everyone Sunday, and then on the 29th!!

We can make our list of Newark pitters (!) later on...

to my understanding Mark Butler Associates had about 30-50 Pit standing tickets for each concert. 100 each have been released via the Facebook thing. So I assume max. would be 250-300. And no chance to go and Pee. Wonderful !!!!

i haven't read the rest of the thread, so maybe the last part of your message has been commented on. but anyway, neil young & crazy horse have had a GA pit section for some of their shows and it was great! it wasn't oversold so everyone had plenty of room, visibility was good from anywhere and there were in-and-out privileges. (we had wristbands.) i would hope for the price of pit tix, the stones pit will be similar.

how are chances that further PIT tickets might be released for Sunday's show?

Re: Tongue Pit

Who knows...they're going to be building that pit during the night so I suppose they might fine tune the capacity once that's done. They would normally have done it at the Wembley Arena though...

@diane d - good to hear! Were there people standing behind that GA pit, I'm still not sure how that can work unless they're assuming that everyone will be standing anyway!

Has anyone found out from the O2 what will happen with our coats and bags since they have no cloakroom? I sent them an email earlier this week but never heard back.

Nope - my computer is even probably relatively slow but I did get the pit tickets in seconds (via Eventim). Also got two tickets for 29th in block 112 via the FB sale (via Ticketbastard) but that was quite a while later and also after rejecting a lot of seats in that block and elsewhere that I didn't want.

Sounds good but not familiar with it, traveling light maybe? Thing is if you're going to be queuing up for a few hours you might not look rather shabby the next day ;-)

there were seats either side of the pit and behind the pit. it was a parking lot for one of the casinos at lake tahoe and they set up bleachers and folding chairs. the folding chairs were behind the pit. i think the stage was maybe six feet high so people who were sitting were far enough back that they could see though i don't think many people sat through the show. the pit was section 5.

There was lots of speculation... and now... How was it?

How did it work? was it easy in and out?, was it packed? over packed?

Also curious to hear from people out front of it on the floor.

From the pictures I saw, it looks like this thing wasted a lot space which could have accommodated more fans to be closer up front... maybe have several larger sections of GA up front, and side to side, instead of just one in the center.... but I dont know.. that is why I am asking.

Looking over video footage of the area, it seems the pit wastes a lot of space. I understand it might be cool for the folks in it (some of them) but considering all of the barricades around it and how it pushes the real front row way back, and how the walk ways were not really utilized much etc etc... just seems like they are wasting about 500-600 seats worth of space with this stage design... maybe they dont care... maybe nobody does... just sayin.

Re: Tongue Pit

The pit was cool, terrific actually, very different from the Superbowl setup with its 8+ ft high edge.

Only the first 4 or 5 rows were dense, I was in the second row dead center after entering it around 20th I guess, and there was no pushing like at the Trabendo. The only tension was before the show when some guys were trying to move from row 3 to row 2 a bit to my left, which obviously resulted in everyone getting annoyed at them and of the security guys to tell them cool off as everyone there was fans of the same band. It worked! Starting at the 4th or 5th row there was a lot of elbow space it seems.

I agree that they seem to have gone overboard with the buffer between the A rows and the tongue, especially considering there is none between the back of the pit and the tongue (I think I saw bv in one of the vids right next to it).

Anyway here is the first view of the Tongue Pit I got yesterday after we were instructed to access it via BK103 (we exited via the side of the stage) :
