Wild Horses Bluegrass Style Via Leon Russell

Came across this. No idea if this has ever been posted. I've always been a Russell fan and am now reading " Leon Russell: The Master of Space and Time's Journey Through Rock & Roll History" by musician and author Bill Janovitz which got me into getting back into Leon's music. The book is, so far, a great history of the LA music scene in the 1960s and the people who played on many popular records from back then, hung out together, etc.

Oh, what the heck, a bonus because I just saw it: The Homewood Session with Russell. Possibly posted before. It's well worth the watch.

I was at this show at Perkins Palace in Pasadena, 1980 which featured Leon and his bluegrass band.

The show resulted in the great Leon Russell & New Grass Revival live album. > Leon
All tunes performed bluegrass style:

A1 - Over The Rainbow (3:31)
A2 - I've Just Seen A Face (1:35)
A3 - One More Love Song (3:48)
A4 - Pilgrim Land (2:21)
A5 - Georgia Blues (2:11)
A6 - I Believe To My Soul (3:24)
A7 - Prince Of Peace (3:07)
B1 - Roll In My Sweet Baby's Arms (2:14)
B2 - Stranger In A Strange Land (3:09)
B3 - I Want To Be At The Meeting (3:03)
B4 - Wild Horses (4:30)
B5 - Jambalaya (On The Bayou) (1:49)
B6 - Caribbean (2:21)
B7 - Jumpin' Jack Flash (2:34)

I’m currently over half way through the book, it’s an interesting tale. I loved his influence in the early 70’s on music
I named my eldest son Leon

Just saw this. This sounds promising, a tribute to Leon's music. Click on some of the youtube links to hear takes on A Song For You and others. Nice stuff to be found there.

Love Wild Horses, love bluegrass. Huge respect for Leon Russell, but this just doesn't work for me - didn't even make it to the chorus.
