I've always been a Russell fan and am now reading " Leon Russell: The Master of Space and Time's Journey Through Rock & Roll History" by musician and author Bill Janovitz which got me into getting back into Leon's music. The book is, so far, a great history of the LA music scene in the 1960s and the people who played on many popular records from back then, hung out together, etc.

Oh, what the heck, a bonus because I just saw it: The Homewood Session with Russell. Possibly posted before. It's well worth the watch.

I was at this show at Perkins Palace in Pasadena, 1980 which featured Leon and his bluegrass band.

I’m currently over half way through the book, it’s an interesting tale. I loved his influence in the early 70’s on music

That Wild Horses is hideous. I’m a Leon Russell fan. Never seen this before. Hope to never see it again!!

Love Wild Horses, love bluegrass. Huge respect for Leon Russell, but this just doesn't work for me - didn't even make it to the chorus.
