forgive me if this is already a well known episode in there history but it took me by surprise when i found mention of it on nico's site

at first glance i thought this must be a plane but then i looked it up and found out that is was a pirate radio ship and found all these photos on twitter and was even more interested

can anyone give me more information about this?

The woman on the pictures is Britt Wadner - she had a private radiostation, Radio Syd (Radio South) in Öresund outside of Lund (south of Sweden). It was on a boat since commercial radio stations weren't allowed in the 1960s in Sweden. The boat's name was M/S Cheetah. The Rolling Stones visited her on her boat (three of the even lived in her house for 3 days) during their tour in Sweden in 1965.

on a somewhat related note i just found this trailer for a swedish film called 'rolling like a stone' that seems to (according to nico) contain some of that footage you shared and more footage of brian, mick, and keith at a party after jamming with some local bands at a club in malmo

and from the looks of it filmed by the same person





i've also never heard of this film

has anyone seen it?

any good?
