Mick Jagger and the Red Devils

It showed up on YouTube. I've got it on right now. This was like, 1992? It just goes to show that you cannot replace the Rolling Stones, even if you're just playing simple blues.

These Red Devil threads come up all the time, but guess it never hurts to have another especially when there's not much else in the news Stones-related:

Mick and the Red Devils

And yet another:

Mick and the Red Devils II

And no doubt there's at least several more.

I had that bootleg years ago, and eventually I sold it. It was interesting enough for what it was, but I don't miss it, and to me it felt like Mick with a quite boring backing band. Just my opinion. The one song on 'The Very Best of Mick Jagger', "Checkin' Up On My Baby", is enough.

I thought so too, I ripped and listened to it the other week and I was surprised how much I liked it. Kind of dug it back in the day but listening to it a few times through really made me like it a lot. A lot more than I remembered liking it.

I wish the Stones would do more of this type of thing, which I guess is what they did on Blue and Lonesome. They could do much more of that easily.

Blue and Lonesome, I LOVED! In some ways, if another album never materializes...Blue and Lonesome would be an appropriate last album. But ultimately, I hope more comes, in whatever form it arrives! But as for the Red Devils...meh.
