thanks HM - my "after may 24th" note was meant to refer to Taylor's HTW/LWM try-out,
but i mistyped the date :E

it's good to have that june 12th date, but [peering hard] ... does that gorgeous shot look like one of Ethan Russell's?
i'm no expert (obviously!) but i think i'll keep it marked "photographer unknown" for a while more

I guess I just assumed it was by Ethan, but that's not good enough reason to go taking credit away from unknown.

Found more info on the 12th June 1969 photo session in Rolling With The Stones:

Page 326:
"On 11 June we did a whole mass of interviews at the office and the following day, we did a photo session with Ethan Russell. We needed new images of the band for use on our up coming single."

they could indeed have done some "straight-up" shots at the same time,
