I should think so too .
This subject of copyright for guitar designs has been a thorny one down the years ...but Gibson have often pushed the concept a bit too far.
I'm surprised they've never tried to patent the use of wood for building guitars !
Gibson should have fought the copyists like Fender did...by starting to build good product for sensible money themselves !
