Karl Denson sat for a "Reelin' In The Years" segment on 'The JamBase Podcast.' He talks about the Stones' plane and describes their rehearsals including a tune they worked through but haven't played yet

Karl Denson's Tiny Universe has a new album out, titled "Gnomes and Badgers".

I'm listening now on Spotify. Great funky album.

Q&A with Karl Denson: Blues of Communication

by Matt Micucci

What’s it like to play with The Rolling Stones?

It’s like a really awesome work vacation. They work two days a week compared to me, working five to six and in a different city every night. They’ll even stay in a city for three to five days. So, it’s really relaxing and fun and then, I get to hang out with The Rolling Stones, which is pretty amazing!

Wrong answer it's going to displease Keith!

He should have said : "this by far the hardest gig I ever had! With these guys you gotta give your best and be on your toes all the time! But it's fun working with the best rock band on Earth... and it's an honour too!"

That's an appropriate Chuck-like answer! grinning smiley

so true...but, I love the honesty - "work vacation." Hahahaha...he's getting paid handsomely (I assume) and getting top-of-the-line everything along the way.

The truth about "The Road" is that it is a grind-and-a-half for most musicians just to make a living.
