Andy Warhol did not design the tongue

for years I thought it was Warhol as well. I think it was kind of an Urban Legend or whatever.
I heard "Warhol drew it after he met Mick" w/ something about Mick's large mouth/lips being the inspiration.
I wonder how/where that started? I mean, it does sound very believable and makes for a much more marketable story w/ a big name like Andy.
I blame Big Foot.

I remember this episode very well . There was a bit of a to do with Dylan because he came back from the Stones concert wearing a Tongue baseball cap to his rehab facility and got into a bit of a to do with a guy who objected to the symbolism of the iconic Andy Warhol designed Stones Tongue and what it represents .
