Yes, works for me.

Turn up the Display brightness and stare at the turquoise-blue logo.

Then close the eyelids multiple times while looking at the white area.


Next idea: the 'Are you nervous?' - Tongue.
(It's a trick with outlines / grey shades)

We think that we "see" but in fact there is a ton of image processing going on in the background to massage reality and present it to us in a manageable form so that we can cope!

The same trick can be done with the American flag. The search would be "complimentary color American flag."

If you simply invert the colors in a Graphics Editor ....

The phantom-picture doesn't work btw with the 'More Hot Rocks'-Cover (also simply inverted) because it's mainly a b/w-picture.

Eyes' receptors are sensitive to specific colors. When you stare at one color for a while, the eyes' receptors for that color become fatigued.

Then when you look away, those receptors relax, which causes the brain to "perceive" the after-image in complementary colors.
