It's funny how certain times of the year can connect with Stones songs or albums.

For me, every Labor Day Weekend is celebrated by listening to Tattoo You, especially Side Two (Worried About You > Tops > Heaven > No Use in Crying > Waiting on a Friend).

It was 1981, the album had just been released, my wife and I were living in suburban Boston. I bought it the Friday of Labor Day weekend, and we had a relaxing three days of partying and listening to it over and over again.

Now, every Labor Day, it is as much a part of the weekend as burgers on the grill.

So....

Does anyone else have a particular holiday or time of the year that you connect with a particular Stones song or album?

I remember a portable cassette player in my bedroom (13 years old 1981)
and 'side 2' specifically the roll of the first 2
'Worried About You' 'Tops'
playing over over over with 1 ear pressed against the audio 'speaker'
shortly after somehow I finagled pleaded begged worked most likely
for a turntable 2 large speakers stereo set went to vinyl.

But anyway, yes, Tattoo You is invisibly engraved inside emotionally tattoo' ed.

I'm glad I finally got to see the Stones perform "Worried About You," live, in 2006, during the Bigger Bang show here in Atlanta!

I hate that I missed them on tour in 1981. We were about to move here to Atlanta from Boston, and the show here at the Fox had already happened before we moved down.

me too...my parents said I was too young to travel cross-border to see them in Seattle.

Some Girls is the Summer of '78, just like Exile is the Summer of '72. Goats Head Soup is the Autumn of '73, especially 'Angie'. Tattoo You does have that Autumn feel, at least side 2 does.

Yep, TY defined the late summer, early autumn feel of 1981 for me. I listened to it obsessively while eagerly awaiting my second Stones concert in late September at JFK Stadium. Yeah, I know it wasn't their best gig but I was right in front of the stage and had a blast!
