She's 85, and still out there singing whenever she can.

Saw her at Bonnaroo one year, and I remember thinking that her band deserved a gold medal for every show. When Loretta decided it was time to sing the next line of the song, she just jumped ahead and sang it, whether the current measure had finished or not! Made for some interesting time signatures in what should have been a simple 4/4 song!

She'd also get mid second verse, stop, and say, "well, that's enough of that one, for my NEXT tune, I'm going to sing....," etc.

Get well soon, Loretta.

She's a legend! When Country Music was real Country Music.

I have tickets to see her this Fall. She's expected a complete recovery from her stroke and back on tour. She had to cancel a few shows.
