The footage after the flatbed clip of some actual '75 shows looks like it was shot on Super 8 film by a fan is a little fuzzy, but actually pretty good and shot from a better angle than the Forum show DVD.

It would be nice to see that stuff after a professional transfer to video.

Great memories. I still have vivid memories of WNEW-FM here in NY saying they would be live broadcasting the Stones press conference and nobody had a clue what they had up their sleeve. Right around the magic hour I had to leave for a dentist appt. so I hooked up my cassette recorder to my radio and hit Rec. When I got back and listened to the tape, what a blast! I got the excitement of hearing all the reporters frantically running outside and got Brown Sugar from the truck. I cherished that tape for decades until it finally broke! That was also my first head's up that the new Stone was Ron Wood. I was pleased.smiling smiley

Watching the footage on the truck-bed I am struck just how phenomenal Jagger is. Every performer knows it is much harder to play to 25 people than to 2500.

I agree, thats my thought too. He is THE JAGGER on that truck. Same with the promoclips 68-80 (81): he is at his best in a confined space. Another great is the Brown Sugar promo.

LOL! Hah.. years later, they are still contemplating what has gone down in their history as one of the worst stunts ever. A total disaster. Charlie: "If only we'd thought of something flat....with a littler more room.."
